Meet the Band

  • Maria Lynn

    LEAD VOCALS

Maria grew up in Clarke County, and is currently living in the Shenandoah Valley Region. At a young age, her parents knew that she was destined to be a performer! She was always ready to entertain even as a small child, whether it was hamming it up for the camera, or dancing and singing with a feather boa to the Beatles and Andrew Sisters. She loved, and still loves to entertain, and help those at her shows forget about any worries that they might be experiencing, if even for a short time.

Maria grew up listening to the classics with her mom & dad. Those ranged from rock ‘n roll to doo wop hits, but none compared to her absolute favorite, The Beatles. Since then, she has broadened her influences to artists such as Led Zeppelin, Heart, Amy Lee, Fleetwood Mac, Etta James, Whitney Houston, Bon-Jovi, The Cranberries, and Sublime to name a few.

Soon after she first began singing, she was asked to be on the Winchester VA show “Cable Talk”, where she performed on camera. She has also been featured in newspapers and magazines, showcasing her vocal abilities. She was even given the newspaper headline; “Patsy Cline has an Echo!” after the journalist heard her rendition of several of Patsy’s hits. In High School she performed in the National FFA talent show held at Virginia Tech., where she placed First for two consecutive years, and second her final year. As well as the National FFA convention. She placed in the top 10 vocalists out of thousands at the 2007 MGM Grand USA Network competition. More recently in 2018 she won the Stanley VA. competition entitled, “I’ve got a voice!”. Maria has performed shows ranging from local Senior assisted living homes to singing the National Anthem at several rodeo/sports events, and opening before Joe Diffie when he was performing at the Clarke County Fair.

Raised in South Africa on bands like the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, the Rolling Stones, Cat Stevens, Jimi Hendrix, Simon and Garfunkel, and Jaluka, Chris now lives in Warrenton, Virginia. Chris picked up the guitar at 13 and never looked back. The ‘80s bought bands like the Clash, The Cure, and the Cult, and these slowly gave way to Nirvana, Radiohead and more. Chris kept soaking it all in, and today he loves playing it all, with a little bit of country, too. Chris plays lead and rhythm guitar for Another Fine Mess and acoustic guitar for Famous Last Words. In his spare time he writes and records his own music and loves to travel with his wife Keri to anywhere there is a beach.

  • David Price

    SOUND ENGINEER & VOCALS

Sound man extraordinaire, making Another Fine Mess and Famous Last Words sound phenomenal. David grew up in the Stephens City/ Winchester area and still lives in the Shenandoah Valley. He has been around music his whole life. His dad played the banjo, piano, guitar, and harmonica, and his mom and dad both sang in the church choir. David was influenced by the ‘50s through the ‘70s era music his parents listened to, and this developed into a love of ‘80’s hairbands, metal, alt rock and country. While a teenager, he learned how to install and use a variety of electronics for running audio from his brother, and this helps David run sound. Around 2015 he began to help Maria with different music venues, and after years of research and learning he has become the ‘Sound Guy’ for AFM and FLW. David also sings a mean Johnny Cash!
